the return of rick?

so, on new year's eve i got this text message from a 619 number saying "happy new year! hope all ur resolutions come true." i didn't know who it was, but i left it on my phone so i could try to figure it out someday.
then today i got a deja vu when i looked at the text. i HATE it when people type "ur" instead of "your" and there was one person who used to drive me nuts with it.... rick.
those of you who don't know who rick is, i dated him for 2 months in high school, but we also have a long tortured history. he even got kicked out and lived with me at my mom's house IN MY ROOM when we were, i dunno, 18? 19? i blew a lot of my money on him then. there was a lot of drama. eventually he moved back home, joined the military, made one last valient attempt to get me back about 4 years ago, (mentioned here), i turned him down, and he got married a few months after that (here).
he has a habit of reappearing randomly. usually over email. but he got out of the military over a year ago, and the email i had doesn't work anymore. i was wondering when he'd appear again. and it could have been him on new year's eve.
he was stationed at 29 palms (southern ca) when he got a cell phone. i knew that, and i might have the number somewhere, just not on this phone. or he might have changed it. but when i googled area code 619, guess what i got?
san diego.
it has to be him. it just has to.
so now it's three months later, and saturday is his birthday. now to decide what i do next. hmmmm.

2002: then adam's band, solairen, played and we sat right up front. he was so cute, his songs are still good, and he pointed at me while singing "she's a siren in my eyes..." hee.
