yesterday afternoon i spent 4 hours at amber's baby shower, and it was lots of fun. i met some of her friends that are just great. plus it was like a game of six degrees of kevin bacon with her friend gladys, she knew a ton of people i know. i took pictures, i promise i'll upload them soon. amber's due in 3 weeks!
and then last night was SOOO GOOOOD! jenn came done from sacramento, we got groceries and made a fabulous dinner of baked ziti with vegetables, then mariah, sabrina, and tony came over, and we has a super great dinner party.
after the dinner (and banana splits!), we played a couple games of apples to apples (i totally won the first time, yay!), and then we played a complete game (until almost 2am!) of loaded questions, which was freakin' hilarious.
the best moment:
david drew a card where we all had to guess what his answer would be for the question "what is one thing you do every day?"
and mariah says, "well duh, we know who that will be!" and points to me. so i start cracking up beacuse i thought she was saying he DOES me every day! and she realizes what she said and tries to correct herself... "i mean, holly will WIN this question!! besides, she already told me her and david don't have sex EVERY DAY!"
OMG. i was beet red and laughing so hard i was crying, while trying to reassure david that i don't blab our sex life all over town.
and that, my friends, is what good fun is all about.

2003: amy and j's mom has a theory that if you sleep with a person, you are under obligation to listen to their dreams. i like that theory.

2001: the wise jeffy says, "i think you're in love with the idea of rick, not actually with him. i bet if he was around all the time, you'd get sick of him."
