big news!

AMY AND GABE are engaged!!! they're going to get married in june! at the santa cruz beach boardwalk!!
sooooo exciting!
and also, this is my third set of engaged friends. what is in the water? and can david please drink some? ;)
an important milestone

so, david and i don't usually celebrate anniversaries outside of the year milestone. you know, cuz it's ANNual and all. but today is a special one that i wanted to take note of.
we've been together 2.5 years today. :)
this is important to me because i've always had this theory about 2.5 years being the make-it-or break it point in relationships. i've known many couples that have broken up right at that spot, and i think it's because it's really a point where you have to look at the future - is this really someone you want to spend your life with, or are you wasting your time?
luckily, i wasn't too worried about our 2.5 because we've long since established that we DO want to spend our lives together. there's no fear of comittment, there's nothing scary about having been together this long, or thinking about being together for even longer. but i am proud to reach this mark and announce that we're still going strong.
we had a really romantic evening last night, and we were up until after midnight, and he said happy two and a half to me just as the clock struck 12. i thought that was cute. and since i'm off work today, i'm going to go meet him for lunch! oh happy day.
i promise this is the end of the gushing, and you won't hear about it on feb 17th, because, well, 2 years and 7 months just doesn't have the same ring to it. ;)
i love my david.

2003: i ended up not going to any classes today. napping and sex knocked out most of them. sigh.
2002: i got a shoe rack, an over the door shoe thing, curtains, and organizing hanger things. i am going to be soooo organized, which hopefully will translate into clean. we'll see.
