where has my motivation gone? not to sound like a broken record, but i appear to have lost it permanantly. or for a few days, at least. i just cannot get myself to work on work projects. i can do the quick little things, and the apsolutely neccesary things and therefore the day-to-day work is going fine, but... projects? i just can't.
this weekend, two local towns are having festival type things. the apple blossom something and the butter and eggs something. they both have parades, i think. i'm not planning on going to either. remember the motivation thing? yeah. i'll be lucky if i get off my butt to do my run (in the park this time!) or maybe do some laundry.
i got my hair trimmed yesterday. it was a whim, sort of. i decided yesterday morning that i would fit in a quick trip to great clips before the BOA dinner. looks fine, mostly the same as before, but with little better razoring around the face so it is framing even when i just let it air dry. which i did today. the lady who cut my hair was a sight, though. she had butt length hair, which had about 8 different colors of highlights in it, and it was curled every which way. she was wearing all lime green. she was at least 300 pounds. she had painted on drastic makeup. and her fake nails? they were done so that the bottom half was white, with a flower, and the tips were CLEAR. it was so very odd. needless to say, i am happy i escaped with my rather plain-looking hair.
i think i will get an iced mocha at lunchtime. i really need a pick-me-up.
and now, i require a banana. so i will go eat one.

2004: it's weird because we used to be totally attached at the hip, and hang out for no reason all the time, just doing whatever came up. i miss that.
2003: my head hurts cuz it got so cold on my bike ride and now my brain is trying to thaw.
2002: so i'm gonna have to call in sick tomorrow. am i sick? no. am i done with any of the homework that is all due at various times on tuesday? no.
2001: friday afternoon i went out to davis, met heather and totally hit it off with her. we're gonna be roommates and i am SO stoked.
