sleepy

i got home today at 4 pm (yes, i changed my clock) and i was grumpy and tired. i hate the rain, and as i got closer to home, it got rainier. grrr.
david and i laid in bed and ended up napping for a little while. maybe 45 min? but we stayed in bed and were lazy for a while before sleeping and also afterwards, deciding what to do for dinner. we ended up at a taqueria because we are lazy and never cook dinner anymore.
so a yesterday recap - scrapbooked from 10 to 5, got about 22 pages done, twas very productive. i'm all current except for the bowling part of my birthday and david's work christmas party, because stickers/objects i needed were at home.
got out to jenn's house about 5:30, got ready to go out, and justin b. and beverly showed up a little later for dinner. we went to the spaghetti factory, got drinks while we waited, and then had pretty shitty service from a stoned waitress. at least the food was good, as usual. i ate too much. then justin and bev went home, and jenn and i picked up jeannine and headed to a bar. we got drinks, signed up for some kareoke songs, and hung out. i had a really good time for a few hours, but around midnight, i was exhausted and ready to go. i'm an old lady, seriously. a bunch of jenn's friends had arrived and the night was still going, so jeannine and i hung out with each other and stuck it out.
jenn was trying to get a little buzz on, but probably because of our carby dinner it was hard to feel anything, so she did a few shots and had some beers. she and i did a fabulous rendition of "love shack" (i sang the guy part) and that was really fun. but then jeannine and i were really ready to go, but we'd decide we didnt want jenn to drive cuz she'd drank more than us. she disagreed and i stole her keys to try and show her we were serious. that really pissed her off, so she yelled at us and we still refused to go with her, so she went out to her car alone, but didn't leave. jeannine and i pondered what to do, and decided we should call a cab. however, we didn't have enough cash so we started walking to find a bank. we got to an ATM and jeannine pulle dout some money, but by then jenn had called us and came to meet us. she eventually talked us into getting into her car. to her credit, she *was* driving just fine, we just didn't like that she wouldn't let someone with less alcohol drive, partly because of the risk and partly because it's much mor legal that way. jenn just is really protetive of her car. so we drove jeannine home in silence and then jenn and i argued about the principles of the "driving after drinking although not too drunk to drive" matter. i don't think we ever agreed, but we dropped it. fell asleep about 2:30 am, which i guess by then had been changed to 3:30.
jeannine woke me up with a phone call at noon (jenn had been up for awhile) and we met her at denny's for brunch before i got out of town. and like i said, the drive was long and progressivly rainy. at least i had brooke to talk to for most of it. poor thing was upset - her insurance didn't cover a prescription very well and she had to shell out over $100 for it. SUCKS BIG TIME.
and now i'm here, typing this up, and about to go play some DDR so i can get at least a little exercise in this weekend. peace out playas.

2004: last time i tried to hike with amy, i was SO out of shape, and SO overweight, and i practically died on my way to the top of this HUGE mountain. it was embarrasing. but now, it's not like i'm in tip-top athletic shape, but i think i can handle it.
2003: More and more, as I get older, I notice how completely complicated and bizarre life is. It just keeps getting worse, as people try to make everything fit a certain standard, invent rules and regulations, and impose all of these codes upon everyone else.
2002:one of my teachers wrote "divide and conqueer" on the board today. no one felt the need to correct him.
2001: basically i got this out of him: she has blond hair, blue eyes, and her name is HEIDI. ha ha. he couldn't get the parallel of me if he tried.
