overtime, baby, yeah

last night's client appreciation was fun, but very long. the good news is, i got paid to work the dinner, and got to eat dinner too! overtime, baby! the bad news is that it didn't end until almost 9pm. that's a lot of working, you know? 8:30 to 8:45. whew. and since i wanted to do stuff when i got home, as did david, we didn't go to bed until 11:30. thus, i have a not-enough-sleep headache now. meh.
but another cool thing is, a client who was very appreciative brought us each gifts today. they are wood carvings he did himself. i got one of an owl (david loves owls) about the size of a salad plate. it will have to hang on the wall somewhere at home. it's really neat. :)
is the day over yet?
