blast from the past
07/29/03 ~ 9:24 a.m.
i had a total shock today. i'm sitting in the hallway, waiting for tricia to get here and open the door, when a lady walks down the hallway. she says something to me and i look up and i recognize her. it was a face i hadn't seen in about three years.
her name is terrie, and i met her when i was living in livermore. she's a dear friend of justin a.* and i. the last time i saw her, she got married in santa rosa! and moved here to live with her husband!
i had forgotten that because when i came to the wedding, i not only had no idea where santa rosa was, but justin drove. we got so lost that we missed the whole ceremony and only made it to the reception.
and of course, she had no idea i moved here, so it came as an even bigger shock to her. because back then, of course, i'd never met david... in fact, i hadn't even moved to DAVIS yet!
anyways, as luck would have it, she works NEXT DOOR to me. how crazy and small worldish is that???
sometimes life is so weird like that. but i am super happy to have bumped into her because now i have a friend in town!! yay!!
and for a few random topics before i go:
i ranted in my diet diary and i thought i'd share it with you, too. it expresses how out of control i'm feeling, manifesting in the form of my eating habits.
i made 5 appointments to see places this week. one was supposed to be last night, and 15 minutes before we were at the place, i called the lady and she cancelled because her mare is sick. wtf? anyways, we checked out the place anyways, and it's our favorite so far. we're calling her again tonight to try and see inside. plus, we met the neighbors and they were super cool. =) also tonight we have 2 other appointments, one at 6 and one at 7. i hope we find something good. i'm soooooooooo antsy!
