memorial day recap
05/27/03 ~ 10:52 a.m.
so we spent yesterday at david's friend tim's house. all the couples were 30 or older, and all but one were married. one lady was 10 months pregnant (and hoping to get induced this week). there were 4 little munchkins running about. i felt like such a baby in comparison!
i did enjoy myself though, and talked to more people as the day went on. everyone there was a totoal carnivore - eating personal steaks. haha. david and i had turkey burgers. i did very decent with my eating, probably the best i've ever done at a BBQ. yay me.
we played a long game of croquet, upon which i found out that david is a croquet wizard. and a croquet shark at that! he didn't let on that he was skilled, and only told me that he knew he was good after he was like 4 hoops in the lead! we ganged up on him though, so he only came in second. (i secretly wanted him to win. you know, cuz i'm all proud of my man and all that.) i came in 3rd, barely. i was pretty proud of myself.
then we told drinking stories and david graced them with his guitar playing. he realy does sing beautifully, and he impressed the socks off of his friends. i was quite proud of him.
then we drove home a little after 10. tired. late. long drive. waaaa. and there was something sketchy going on in the filed cuz we saw a bunch of polica cars, some hidden and such, and police helicopters with spotlights searching for something. i got all freaked about fugitives. luckily, we arrived home safely.
we slept in pretty late, too. 9:30. that was almost 10 hours of sleep. wow. as for today, as soon as i finish posting this, i have about an hour to do some math homework, then i'm heading to swim practice. then class. then grocery store, laundry, and more homework. then i cook my sweetie dinner.
oh, and here's the more specific countdown to graduation:
- 9 days of classes
- 1 12-page term paper
- 1 computer program
- 4 math homeworks
- 2 computer homeworks
- 2 computer quizzes
- 4 finals
and I'M OUT!!! i can't wait.
