will they get along?

see my little counter up above? how it's counting down to gradaution? i
graduate june 15th, officially... but the party is going to be on the 14th.
whoa, hold those kegs. we're talking an in-the-park-barbeque-with-my-grandma
type party. in fact, it's a joint party for david and i, thrown by our
parents who have not yet met. they will meet that day.
i wonder how that will go? how to describe these three people?
my mom: 46, divorced for 5 years, mother of three. perpetual good-doer.
found christianity after the divorce. is now QUITE religious, does not
approve of david and i living together. works full time as a broker's
assistant, has second job as a tax preparer. hobbies: action movies,
gardening, cooking.
david's mom: married for over 22 years, mother of 2. hypochondriac to the
point of actuallly developing sicknesses from the constant medication.
cannot work; stays at home. hobbies: soap operas, internet, reading, web
design.
david's dad: married for over 22 years. loud, friendly man. works as a truck
driver for about the same pay per hour as i make. hates his job. is devoted
to his wife, is at the disposal of her every whim. hobbies: working on cars,
tv? i don't really know what else he likes to do.
i think they should get along fine. as long as no one swears around my
mother, things should run smoothly. now let's check out how my brothers and
david's sister should get along:
chad: 17. high school junior. plays soccer, is in a punk band. is a label
whore. very snobby. dates only the most pretty girls, despite the hoards of
them swooning around him. violent attitude, superiority complex. hobbies:
girls, playing his guitar LOUDLY and obnoxiously in the house.
joe: 15. high school freshman. plays football. previous "dork", lost 50
pounds and became slightly "cooler" in high school. still studious and gets
top grades. hobbies: internet, watching tv or movies, harassing the cats.
silver: 14/15. high school freshman. typical tortured teenager, hates her
parents and everyone else. not many friends. sees a counselor. idolizes
eminem, to the point of obsession. (his music is forbidden by her mother).
claims to write her own songs and raps. hobbies: listening to her discman
and drowning the world out, eminem.
hmm. i'm thinking they will have nothing in common. hopefully they bring
their own friends!
and a few last random tidbits for today:
i'm 3.5/5 done with my shift. woo! oh how the minutes roll slowly by. score... they just told me to bring a good book to read cuz the program i'm testing goes reeeeaaallllly slloooooow sometimes.
tonight david and i are going to make homemade pizza. hmm. this a new
adventure for us, so i hope it turns out well. mine is going to be pineapple
& olive, which is one of my favorites... and can easily be made low calorie and low fat! yay.
speaking of food... grumble, grumble. yes, that's my hungry tummy. i brought
an apple and nonfat yogurt. hmm. think i'm going for the apple. doctors...
