100 things

a day in the life
02/08/03 ~ 11:40 a.m.

(for pieces of you)

a day in my life. what would YOU see, think and feel if you were me? if you lived in my skin?

on any given weekday, youd wake up to an alarm. it's either telling you to go to school or work. you're not happy about this.

suppose it's a school day. you get up, and head to the computer. email, diaryland, and your message boards must be checked before your day can begin.

you then toss on a pair of jeans and whatever shirt you can find. hair goes in a ponytail. you eat cereal, or fruit, or something else of equal nutritional value, and low calorie. you're losing weight, you see.

by now, you're running late, and you really don't care. your first class is a stupid math class. depending on your mood, you might just stay home. so you spend the next hour wasting away time on the internet.

soon, it's time to work out. you know you have to work out everyday if you want to lose those pounds!! you choose a video to follow and you being to move and sweat. it hurts, but hurts so good. when you're done, you relax for a few minutes, brag about how well you did to david*, and hop in the shower.

after showering and re-dressing, you grab a quick lunch (soup, a healthy choice TV dinner, once again -- low calories!!). then you *do* go to school. your shakespeare professor takes roll and counts it towards your grade. the bastard. you try to stay awake while he drones on in a monotone voice about two gentlemen of verona. about an hour later, you wake up and find yourself with an hour break.

where to? well, of course a computer! the ones in the engineering library are never all used. you go there, check your email, diaryland, and boards. it's an obsession with you. after an hour flies by, you go to your computer class. your teacher is funny. he's toally affeminate and goofy. at least he keeps you awake. but you're itiching to go home. no good... you have another class after this!

40 minute break. yup, to the computers. but that is over shortly, and you find yourself in english class. this teacher is even weirder. she sings, cries, dances, all sorts of things. the girl who sits next to you is cool. it's a good setup, if you have to be at school till 6 pm.

when it's finally over, you bike home in the dark. it's cold and creepy out. you get home and the wonderful david greets you with the enthusiasm of a puppy dog. you make dinner together (heath concious, of course) and watch friends reruns. those are the best. you hang with your roommate, jeannine*. she's funny, she tells you about her day. then you and david retire to your room for more computer business. eventually, you go to bed, to cuddle and sometimes more.

it's hard to sleep though. your mind is racing. there's so much on it - cars, money, homework, friends, dieting, working out.... it takes you hours to fall asleep, thus making it just as hard to get out of bed the next morning.
