hot baths and a new diet

i couldn't fall asleep last night cuz i was freezing cold. i'd already been
complaining about it to krista,
but it was only when i tried to go to bed that i realized my heater was not
working. i had on flannel pants, thick socks, a sweater AND sweatshirt, knit
hat, and gloves and i was under 3 blankets. still freezing.
after about a
half hour, i got up and made myself hot apple cider. i then returned to my
blanket haven. another half hour later, i was still ass cold.
i don't ever
have this problem when david is sleeping next to me. he's warm and cuddly.
anyways...
i laid in bed, contemplating what to do. i decided to try a hot
bath. so i took quite possibly the hottest bath i have ever taken in my life. i
was all red when i got out. i immediatly put all my clothes back on, put my hair
up and under the hat, and hopped back into bed. it was only then, at 2:30 am,
that i could go to sleep. argh.
so. i'm doing a new diet thing right now. i
know there are a bunmch of fads out there, and people switch from diet to diet,
trying to find the miracle cure. that's not what i'm doing. obviously, my plan
of "slim fast + diet soda + not eating a big dinner + workout" has been working. i've lost 19
pounds. [can hear the studio audience cheering].
but i also got this thing
from kaiser that is a strict diet for 3 days. then for 4 days or more, you go
back to your regular diet. then you can do it again. it's supposed to make you
lose 10 pounds in those 3 days. (hah!) the lady at my dentist's office who gave
it to me loses 5 every time though, so i figure, let's give it a shot.
it
reminds me of when the mom in the movie requiem for a dream goes on a
diet, cuz i started today off with 1/2 grapefruit. hee. ok, here it is. i'm
typing it exactly as it is on my sheet. feel free to try it yourelf!

KAISER PERMANENTE CLINICday one:
breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit, 1 slice toast, 2 tbsp. peanut butter
lunch: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice toast, coffee or tea
dinner: 2 slices any
type meat (3 oz.), 1 cup beets, 1 cup green beans, 1 small
apple, 1 cup vanilla ice cream
day two:
breakfast: 1 egg,
1 slice
toast, 1/2 banana
lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese, 5 saltine crackers
dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup
carrots, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
day three:
breakfast:
1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice
toast
lunch: 5 saltine crackers, 1 slice chedder cheese (1 oz.), 1
small apple
dinner:1cup tuna, 1 cup beets, 1 cup
cauliflower, 1/2 cantaloupe, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
disclaimer: This works
on a chemical breakdown and is proven to work. DO NOT vary or substitute
any of the above foods. Salt and pepper may be used, but no other seasonings.
This diet is to be used for 3 days at a time. In 3 days you will lose 10 pounds.
After 3 days of dieting, you can begin eating your normal diet.
BUT DON'T OVERDO IT. After 4 days of normal eating, you may go back on
the 3-day diet. You can lose up to 40 pounds in a month if you stick to this
diet. IT IS A SAFE DIET. Remember - No Cheating and Do NOT
Pick between meals. Drinks are permissible if desired.
