HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN G (MY PENPAL IN FLORIDA)!!! she's a quarter of a century today!!
it's so weird how sometimes things change right under your nose and it takes you days to notice.
there's a chain restaurant in my office's little shopping center. it's called johnny garlic's - there are 3 locations. i never eat there - it's too expensive for lunch. but today my boss said something about them being gone... i never noticed! it happened a week or so ago. the signs are down and everything. i guess a mexican restaurant is moving in.
anyways,
when i used to have an hour lunch, it used to seem too long. except when brooke and i would go out to lunch together back in the day, that was fun. but usually, it was too much time. but nowadays when i have 30 min lunches, it's never enough. i was trying to find a small fan to take with me to the gym (like desk-size) and i searched through longs. they didn't have ANY fans. sigh. i'd called in a salad to the place next door to longs, i picked it up and scarfed it. then i headed right back to the office. lunch over.
david, bless his heart, is checking out the wal*mart near his office for a fan. i called him to ask for suggestions to other stores to check and his response was, "how about walmart? i'll go there now." but dude. all i want is a tiny fan to help cool me off so my heart rate doesn't skyrocket! thanks.

2004: it was so weird, and fucked up, and hard to follow but not hard, it just jumps around like crazy. and it's all so deep and meaningful and.. wow.
2003: it's hard to pretend you're happy and everything s alright when you really want to sit at home and cry. what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, right? right.
2002: i got a new backpack today. that may not sound exciting, but it really is.
