pictures of my house!

have you guys wondered where i live? today, you get to find out!
here's my street:
it's actually not it's own street, but more of a little offshoot of the main street. there are 4 buildings, so 8 duplexes. it's sometimes hard to give directions to, so i always point out this landmark:
people can usually figure it out when i mention the row of mailboxes. so, you turn in, and i live on the corner. here's my place:
notice how we only share wall space between garages. nice setup, methinks. oh, and they do all the yardwork. which is good, cuz i kill plants. anyways.
let's go inside!
most of these pictures were taken last october, so things have moved slightly. i'd retake them, but it's not nearly as clean today as in these pictures. hee hee.
here's the living room:
all hardwood floors, which are pretty and easy to sweep, but also easy to scratch and cold on bare feet. i think i'd like carpet when we eventually move.
the entertainment center. the only change is, you can see on the right side, a bit of a table. that's my scrapbook stuff. i moved it into the computer room and put the white recliner in its place. now there's a little area for reading and it's more social when people are sitting on the couch and that chair. i like it. anways.
to the left of that (the vantage point of the first picture) is the dining area:
only change now is that there's like 5 times the amount of papers piled on that table. ;) we rarely eat there.
to the left of that is the kitchen, in an amazingly clean state! notice the lack of dishwasher (sucks):
now, if you go down the hall away from the couch, you'll encounter the bathroom on the right. this is the only room we've tried to actually decorate.
however, i was silly, and was washing the rugs when i took this. so there's usually a dark blue toilet rug and a square one in front of the sink.

ALRIGHT. enough bathroom. at the end of the hall is the computer room. this picture shows it in an incredibly clean state. it is still laid out this way, but i will be changing that shortly with a new desk. but voila:
and last, but not least, our bedroom. which is really not very exciting:
the dresser is an antique, and it doesn't hold clothes. it has hair stuff and beauty products that i don't use in the drawers.
instead, we put our folded clothes in that dresser that the birdcage sits on and i HATE IT. HATE HATE HATE. everything in this house is a hand-me-down, but that is the worst. hopefully that will be the next item of furniture to be replaced. PLEASE.
oh! and we have a cute little backyard:
once again, the landlords do all the yardwork, and we only use it for occasional summer BBQs. but it's nice to have. :)
