day of sammi

monday morning. back at work. luckily, i slept pretty well last night and i'm feeling a bit better. i also sorta napped during the super bowl. heh.
i resized the pictures from saturday with sammi, so now you get to enjoy them! here goes...
first i showed her the coolness of my camera, demonstrating the neat flower feature that takes great pictures of jewelry. she has a lovely promise ring given to her by her boyfriend bobby, shown here:
we started the say off with a trip to the scrapbook store (woo!) and then to the mall to get our makeup done. well, *i* got my makeup done by a flaming gay makeup artist at MAC [sample quote: holly - "my boyfried doesn't like to kiss me when i'm wearing lipstick" flaming gay - "MINE EITHER!!!"], and then sammi got her eyebrows waxed at a nearby booth. so that was awesome. here i am with makeup that i would never wear on a daily basis:
david made me wash it off as soon as i got home. ;PTHEN we went to her favorite sushi place. sammi and i are sushi buddies. we had a few smaller rolls, and the super awesomest DRAGON ROLL. look, it even has carrot antennae:
then it was on our way to san francisco via the lovely BART system. that's Bay Area Rapis Transit, for you out-of-towners. ;P while at the station, i realized i had missed FOUR CALLS, three from brooke and one from mariah. damn cell phone ringing too quiet grumble grumble. so then brooke called again, at it turns out she and robert were at pier 39 with time to kill, but we were still an hour away from the city. bummer! so we missed her.
after getting off BART, we walked a good 25 blocks to the piers and immediately checked out the scene at bubba gump's. they don't take reservations, so we just browsed the gift shop for a bit before heading off to other stores.
the shrimp make a heart!then we walked down to the wharf shops, where we got matching italian charms that say <3 san francisco, and laughed at all the silly magnets. i also got personal with a buddha statue:
the poor nipple was concave from so many people rubbing it!then we found photo booths in the museum of mechanical things, so we got a black and white strip and also some sticker photos. we're awesome.
then we went back for dinner (mmmmmmmmmmmmm coconut shrimp), and then bought some gifts for our boys. i got david a goofy frog stuffed animal for his cubicle. sammi made a stuffed bear for bobby's valentine's present, and dressed it up in heart boxers. here she is stuffing the poor thing:
then we taxied it back to the BART station, chatted it up the whole ride home, and took the obligitory PHOTO OF SEXINESS:
we are AWESOME.i took her home and hit the road. i got home relatively late (for me, the early bird special) and stayed up even later waiting for david to finish the dishes he was doing. hence the exhaustion.
yesterday was alright, i slept until about 10, watched desperate housewives, went to the YMCA and did our run, showered, met up with will, got wings, potato wedges, chips, and mac & cheese, brought it all to sabrina's house & semi-watched the football game (ok, david watched and the rest of us were bored), came home, played on the computer, and went to bed early. fini.

2004: i no longer work for blockbuster! rented my last free movie last night.
2003: sammi is coming to vist tomorrow! we're going out to lunch, working out, chillin', etc. i'm looking forward to it. [ed. note: funny that we hung out this same time two years ago!]
2002: i got flip flops, a jean skirt, and this adorable little pink shirt for jasmine that says "girl" on it. i just put it on her and it is SO funny. i was laughing so hard i was crying.
2001: i don't fucking know what i want anymore.
