my dad, dishes, an xbox, and good friday

so... my dad. you know the one. the guy that i have a sketchy relationship with? who hasn't paid a drop of child support in years? who hasn't has a job for awhile? who up and moved to arizona last summer and got a job at target, stocking shelves? who has a 4 year old son that is my half brother? well, it was his birthday the other day (i mentioned that), so i actually called him to be nice. and he drops another bombshell.
"oh the u-haul comes tomorrow. we're moving to alabama. i got a job driving a dump truck."
nice.
anyways. just thought i'd keep you updated.
SO... david bought his xbox he wanted last night. they dropped in price from $200 down to $150, so it was good he waited. he also ordered the mod chip he talked about in the above linked entry, so hopefully soon we will be downloading tons of fun emulated games.
i'm also planning on getting the game "dance dance revolution" and a dance pad so i can play it in our living room! it's actually not a bad workout, too. so that rules.
our friday night plans are pretty lame. we have a counterful of dishes to do again. i hate not having a dishwasher, because it makes it so difficult. we rinse our dishes after eating (so at least we don't have a buuch of crusty dishes), but sometimes it's just not worth it to get all the soap going for just a couple plates. so we set them on the counter for next time. and next time, and next time. you see how that goes. but if we could just put them in the dishwasher after rinsing, life would be so much easier!
i assume we'll play on the new toy this evening too, although we only rented one game. we're not going to buy anything until we see how all the downloads work out. but NO XBOX until our kitchen is CLEAN.
i'm laying down the law. david, you hear me??
i work tomorrow. sigh. next friday is good friday, and it's a paid holiday for my work. i'm not sure whether i get friday or saturday off for it. sadly, i think i still have to work saturday. i need to ask leanne when she gets back from lunch which day i have off, because i plan to call up AMY!! cuz i haven't seen her in a while and we have totally opposite schedules. but i could drive down on my day off and see her. :)
ok, i'm outta here. everybody start updating so i have something to read this afternoon!
