p-o-y: school days

Topic ~ March 20 - 27: Whether you're still in school, or long out of school, what is it/was it like for you? Do you/did you experience any bullying? Are you/were you in any 'cliques', popular or not? Do you/did you do well in school? Do you/did you enjoy it or is it/was it a bad experience? What is so far/what was the most memorable about being in school?

elementary school: i was popular until about fifth grade, when i got "fat" and was kicked out of the group. i would get teased and made fun of for hanging out with the dorks.

junior high: didn't get any better really, because the popular kids still hated me and i was still uncool and fat. but i did make good friend who were also not "cool" enough, adn i enjoyed them.

freshman year: i went to a different school than the continuation of my junior high, adn it was a good decision. i really made a bunch of friends, all eccentric and weird, none of them popular or cheerleaders or anything of the sort. it was really fun, and a shame i had to move that summer.

sophomore year: it was hard to be the "new kid", especially since i moved in the summer, so no one recognized me as new. they didn't know that i had no friends, so no one really reached out right away. it took a few months before i found my niche... doing my history homework at lunch with others in my history class. it was through this that i met amy*, who is really the best friend i could have hoped for.

junior year: ROCKED! amy and i had a bunch of friends and i felt happy and cool and popular, even if i wasn't the stereotype of any of those things. i was popular in the sense that i was known and well-liked, and i was cool to my friends. and that's all i needed.

senior year: a little less fun, cuz amy, justin a*, and a few of my other friends graduated, and our group shrank. i graduated early and didn't get to play out the whole year.

oh, and i always got good grades. that was my thing: i was smart.

most memorable moment? driving down the road with two carloads of friends, passing a pickle back and forth through the windows. heh.

back forth
