can't anything go right?
03/15/04 ~ 11:00 p.m.
so, as i'm driving to cooking class, david calls me with some news -- he finally got the call from the agent and the news is better than we expected. the check we're getting is about $900 more than we estimated. woo! david can pick it up tomorrow and then we would be able to head over to saturn and snach up our new car.
easy, right? all we need is david to show up with the pink slip to turn over our car.
the problem? we've spent the last two hours going through all of our "important papers" files, our desks, our drawers, our piles of crap... no title. we've found everything from the pink slip for the other crappy car to david's high school report card. how could we have lsot this very important paper?
well, let's think back to when we would have recieved this so-called title. we bought the car july 3rd. we were living with david's parents... basically homeless. is it any wonder it got lost in the shuffle?
so... worst case scenerio... we don't get the check without the pink slip and don't get the car. best case... the research david is doing on the DMV website pays off, and the form he is printing right now will suffice.
would it be bad to ask you guys to wish me luck again?
