100 things

the rain won't let me unpack
12/30/04 ~ 2:51 p.m.

i'm really bored, so i'm going to post again. heh.

but something exciting happened! amy and gabe stopped by on their way through town and we had lunch together. woo! we went to whole foods and i had a chicken enchilada and it was yum. that place is a little spendy, and quite yuppy, but boy are those organic foods good!

my boss hasn't wanted to be here today, she's only been IN the office when her appointments were here and not before or in between. but because of that, and i get tomorrow off! WHEEEEE! cuz she doesn't want to be here, and she had no appointments, so when i said, "can we just close?" she said fine. yay.

i made a predicition to amy and gabe and i was right. see, there are still a bunch of christmas presents in the car. because every time the car is at HOME, it is POURING. during the day, it's cold, but sunny and dry, and i think, "hey, i'll go home and take all the presents inside" and then BAM! it starts raining again. so now, it's about 3pm, and it just started raining and it got all dark. so it will be full blown pouring when i get home, and the presents will remain in the car.

hopefully tomorrow during the day it will be slightly sunny. then i will finally bring them in, and also i will take the rest of christmas down - the tree, the lights, etc. plus go for a run. because i haven't been in a week (in my defense, i was sick!)

and lastly, i will bitch about it again... cancer sore, be gone! please leave. you've bothered me for 4 days, and that is quite long enough, thank you!

new years eve plan options
12/30/04 ~ 9:49 a.m.

so. new years eve. that's tomorrow, and as of now, i have no concrete plans. what i do know: i will be in the company of david, sabrina, and tony. what we don't know: the activity.

there are choices:

A) drive out to a friend's house in san francisco, then take a bus to the embarcadero and see fireworks
B) go to a local kareoke bar (rita's)
C) wander around our city's downtown area / bars
D) just stay in with the four of us, eat pizza, watch movies, play games

i don't know... i like A and D best, i think . so we'll see.

really, sabrina is finding out all of the details. like, where we'd sleep in san francisco, and if that will be any fun. or if there's anything special at rita's. or what we'd actually DO downtown, besides wander aimlessly. and i guess D is the backup, if everything else seems lame. who knows.

the good thing is, david is up for ANYTHING! this is cool because he's not much of a bar person, or a going out person, but apparantly, he thinks that they could each be fun in their own way, and he wants to have fun on new year's. yay for him.

now answer a question:

what do you think we should do?

and/or...

what are YOU doing on new years?

cold and alone at work
12/30/04 ~ 8:53 a.m.

so, i get in this morning to a freexing cold building (heat was the first thing i did!) and the phone rings at 8:31. my boss: "hi, the internet guy isn't here yet, so it will be at least an hour before i come in." ok... then, like 10 mintes later, the other broker jim calls. he's down the street at his other office, he'll be over in about 1/2 hour. so yeah, for now, it's just me and the cold room. and the internet. ;)

last night was nice. david and i met at a chinese restaurant and just ordered hot & sour soup and white rice. his tummy was feeling better, but i thought it would be good for him, just in case. plus, cheap dinner - the bill was $8.50!

when we got home, we ignored all chores, took the back couch cushions off, snuggled up on the couch, and watched this old movie called logan's run. weird, but interesting. we went to bed at about 9:30.

i got super strong cold sore medicine, and it puts this cover over the sore, which is really awkward feeling, and it hasn't fixed it yet (since 5:30 pm last night) and i really want an INSTANT CURE! this has gone on long enough!

one year ago: to tell the truth, i am chomping at the bit to get to my new office.
two years ago: once i'm out of school, any old job will do -- as long as there is no homework, no grades, and IT pays ME, rather than vice versa. heh.
