100 things

two things for pieces of you:

We've given the site a whole new look, a whole new start, a whole new life. So this weeks topic is about just that.... A chance to start over again. A chance to start over might alter our whole outlook on life. Maybe it's in school, a relationship, work, or much more. In fact, some of us would like to get rid of the past entirely and start all over again and do things differently.

school - i might have chosen to go to a state univesity rather than a U.C. it was much more expensive and i have a lot more debts. i also might have resolved to apply myself a little more and thus have gotten more actual knowledge (as opposed to theoretical knowledge) from my classes.

relationship - i can't think of a THING i would change. we talk sometimes about the beginning of our relationship, the uncertainty at first, the falling for eah other quicikly... it was perfect. i'd never had much luck at love, and life certainly made up for it tenfold.

work - god. where to start? well, maybe i would have secured a good programming job a few years ago, before the job market went horribly downhill. but whho knows if i would have been able to keep that job. i most definately would have looked into having the school help place me in a large corporation where i would actually be using my degree and not just answering phones. i might have eneded up a small fish in a big sea, which is not my preference, but at least i'd feel like my education was worthwhile.

much more - i wouldn't have bought that car that cost me so much money in repairs. i wouldn't have paid so much money for plane tickets to france, just to spend my vacation time with ted*. sure, i got a great experience, but i'd much rather have had that experience with david.

In this day and age, we seem to take so many things for granted, including everyday modern conveniences. What modern convenience can you not imagine living without and why?

i know i'm sad and pathetic but... my computer. i really am addicted. it's mostly an internet addiction and the computer is simply the means of access. but i also really love to play silly games like minesweeper and hearts, i like to program, i like to watch movies on it.

computers rule. =)
