for pieces of you: first date
this is a topic david and i laugh about. we don't really have a good answer as
to what our "first date" was. here are the options:
about a week before our official 'getting together' date, we'd been hanging out
a lot, renting movies, and going swimming. one day we went TO the movies and saw
powerpuff girls. now, we didn't hold hands or anything, and we paid our
own ways, but it kinda felt like a date. however, it couldn't have the actual
pretense of a date at the time because i was still 'seeing' ted or whatever. (as
in, i hadn't officially broken it off yet).
the night we got together (july 17, 2002), we were just watching playing by
heart in my room. we didn't go out anywhere that night, though we were
thinking about going to a drive-in movie. we ended up cuddling through the
movie, and sharing our first kiss afterwards. but that wasn't a DATE -- we
didn't go anywhere.
then he went on vacation for about 2 weeks.when it was over, i picked him up at
his parents house, had dinner there, and we walked to the county fair. we rode
the rides, looked at exhibits, got photo booth pictures taken:
we had a romantic ferris wheel ride. that was a date. but we'd already been 'together' for a few weeks. was it our first date?
so really, i don't know. maybe my readers should vote. what was our first date? 1. powerpuff girls, 2. playing by heart, or 3. the fair? vote in the guestbook!
