these terrible attacks

well, here i go. one of the last people to write about this i'm sure. but out here in CA, we're the last to know. plus i'm one of those awful people who don't read the paper, don't watch the news, don't listen to the radio. so i didn't find out until i got to work at 9 am (that's noon where the attacks hit).
well, i was worried about ned, for sure. i emailed him. school is closed, basically everything in atlanta is closed. i called him from work. he laughed that i was worried. he's fine. i also called my penpal in FL, she's fine too. her school was closed also.
someone told me livermore was going to be evacuated (due to the national lab) so i called amy and justine. they're fine, at home and whatnot. work as usual at the lab.
i don't know. things like this just make you so sad and so jittery. what can you do? just think about all those people who dies? their families? their friends?
to think that this will be in our children's history books. September 11th, 2001 - Terrorist Attacks on the U.S..
