Looking Back on 2003
1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
graduated from college, bought a car from a dealership, and got a job with full benefits.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
my resolutions were to get to goal weight [no], graduate [yes!], and catch up on scrapbooking [no]. although, i really did lose a lot of weight so i'm not too upset about the first one. this year i WILL get to goal weight (30 pounds to go). that's my only resolution.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope, don't know anyone. well, my cousin did but i never see her.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
no.
5. What countries did you visit?
none this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
a steady job... and i think i might have gotten that all tied up!
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
june 15th - i graduated.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
graduating (sorry to be so repetitive!)
9. What was your biggest failure?
getting fired from my first job in santa rosa.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
my old knee issure (torn ACL, no treatment) acted up like a bitch and i had no medical insurance. it's semi-ok right now, and i will have a doctor check it out soon.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
davis and i bought the saturn. great car.
12. Whos behaviour merited celebration?
um, weird question? david, because he always sticks by me. i'd celebrate him anytime!
13. Whos behavior made you appalled and depressed?
guess i'll go with the friend i lost in 2003: jenny*.
14. Where did most of your money go?
rent!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
graduation. i was SO sick of school, you don't even know.
16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
i was going to make a cd the othre day of all the pop songs that are on the radio that i like. the one that sticks out that i will go "that is SO 2003" is uncle cracker's "drift away" song.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: Happier or sadder?
david and i discussed this last night - the same as last year on dec 31st, but at a higher point than any time in 2003. like, i spent more than half of 2003 getting more depressed about life, and spent the last few months pulling back up to where i was before. 2003 was, in fact, a crappy year.
ii. thinner or fatter?
a lot thinner. 64 pounds less than my highest weight, about 45 less than what i weighed last 12/31.
iii. richer or poorer?
richer! finally. i mean, that just happened 2 weeks ago.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
relaxing.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
stressing.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
i spent it working and then dinner with my sweetie.
22. Did you fall in love in 2003?
fell even deeper than i was in 2002. :)
23. How many one-night stands?
none.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
friends remained a constant, sex and the city became an obsession, and i had a quick fling with the new show miss match, but i'm over it (as in, i always had to work and missed too many).
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
um, the company that fired me? other than that, i don't hate anyone.
26. What was the best book you read?
harry potter and the order of the phoenix. ;)
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
the fact that i am still a cheese for pop radio!
28. What did you want and get?
a george forman grill! oh, and a full time job with benefits.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
god. how can i choose? the most recent one i likes in theaters was something's gotta give, and the best one on file right now is alex & emma. i work at a video store! i could go one for hours! [bend it like beckham, X2, bruce almighty, italian job, identity, confidence, pirates of the carribean, freaky friday... ok i'm stopping.]
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
i turned 23, and i spent 4 days celebrating with mariah*, brooke* and robert*, sabrina*, and amber*. there was a trip to SF, lunch, dinner, and a few movies.
32.Whats one thing that would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
less financial stress.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
constantly buying smaller sizes!!
34. What kept you sane?
david's love.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
fancy? well, i always fancy seth green. always. as for females, i thought kira knightly kicked ass this year, and jennifer aniston is always a favorites.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
california's governer recall.
37. Who did you miss?
my old roomie, jeannine*.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
i met 3 good new people! mariah*, sabrina*, and amber*.

a college degree doesn't mean shit anymore.
