100 things

surprise! i'm here!
10/20/01 ~ 10:06 p.m.

lookie who's not in yosemite!

yeah, like i said previously, i decided on thursday night while i was writing the godawful essay that i didn't really want to go. so i had my car "break down", which worked marvelously. i'm getting my refund on tuesday. plus i'm not spending at least $50 more that i don't have.

instead, i had way cheaper fun last night and today!

last night, jenn came over, and heather, travers, her and i made margaritas, screwdrivers, and pucker shots and played the friends game and scattergories. plus a trip to the spa and lots of NES. it was boring, stay at home, always underestimated fun. i love it.

today i went to our homecoming football game, which i might add was FREE and we got a FREE SHIRT!!! now i have a u.c. davis shirt and i am cool. (shut up all of you aggies who knew the games were free and we got free shit. i'm new ok???) it was a very close game, we sucked ass in the first half, came back strong, and then fumbled and lost the chance to win at the very end. but it was exciting. the alumni band and stunt team were there, and they performed with our very own band-uh. i looked for jeffy and kristin, but alas, did not see them. i did see danny (of youseedavishardcore.com and also, my high school) and my friend from junior high, jen. heather, travers, and i sat with jenny, mike, and jenny's parents. her parents are adorable and cute and sooooo much in love. (i'm not jealous, no!) i realized that all 4 of my friends that were there with me have wonderful, loving parents that are still together. coincidentally, the four of them are all in loving, long-term, mature relationships where people work out their problems and don't get hung up on the little things. i'm beginning to think that isn't so much of a coincidence.

then we stopped by jenny and mike's place and decided to go out for pizza and a movie. we had a yummy pizza and salad bar at steve's pizza, and saw the bandits at signature theaters, which i'd never been to. they are WAY nicer than the F street theaters and now that i've been exposed to comfy seats and stadium seating in davis, i can never go back.

the movie was funny stuff. i enjoyed myself. it's not all super deep or anything, just a good time. (following is the best part of the evening. well, at least the most entertaining. so pay attention starting... now.)

we're walking back to the car, heather and travers in front, me next to jenny and mike, who are holding hands. suddenly, mike is topping to the ground, jenny is trying to hold him up and he ends up laying on the concrete, laughing his ass off. he fully tripped over a BLUE concrete parking block. he wasn't in the slightest bit hurt, but jenny, heather and i (not to mention mike) are laughing so hard we can't talk, can't see, and tears are streaming down our faces. SUCH a "funniest home videos" moment. meanwhile, travers didn't know how mike ended up on the ground, and when he asked me what happened, all i could do was point. and laugh.

ok, i guess you had to be there. imagine it, and it's fucking hilarious.

also, i recommend stopping by safeway the next chance you get, finding the halloween/thanksgiving toys, and squeezing the turkey's hand. soon you too will be singing "turkey in the straw... hey! hey! hey!" all day long.

it was a great day with great friends. much better than yosemite. i'm glad i didn't go.

~holly~

p.s. that purity test entry from way back when sure does get me a lot of weird google hits. today i got "masturbation cocaine party". sickos! go away!
