new desk?

david wants a workbench, out in the garage, so he can mess with all of his comptuer stuff. we were trying to think about places to go find a cheap workbenchy-type thing (thrift stores, etc), when i got a great idea: he can take my peice of shit comptuer desk, which is one big clunky thing, and i will get a new one! :) i wanted one anyways. this thing was a hand-me-down from ted's mom... ted being the ex before david.
here's what it looks like, cluttered with all of my mess:
yes, i sit in a lawn chair. i'll need to buy a chair someday. anyways. that monitor on top is another one of david's collection. seriously, he owns TONS of computers. let's look, shall we?
lined up against one wall in our otherwise empty garage is most of the collection:
there's two TVs (both broken) mixed in, but it's mostly comptuer stuff. why does he need all those keyboards?
the rest (more mice, chips, motherboards, etc) is taking over the shelves in the computer room. on second thought, maybe he'll need TWO workbenches. BOYS. well, first things first.
i'm going to get a new desk, something preferably around $50 and smaller than my current hunk of crap (it's 41" wide.) i want smaller so that i don't pile it up as much as now and also so a spare bed can fit in that room. so far, these are the ones i've found:
the MIKAEL computer table with castors from ikea - $39.99. 30 3/8" wide. cute!
the O'Sullivan Multi-Media Computer Cart with Hutch from staples - $59.94. 31.5" wide, more organizational shelves, but would i pile them with stuff? probably. also, where would my legs go?
what do you think? or, do you have other ideas? i also looked at target.com, officemax.com and officedepot.com, no dice. other stores i should hit up?
