i missed this all weekend

my computer at home is being dumb. well, not the computer, just the connection to the internet. i'm using ucdavis as my dial-up right now, and for some reason it wouldn't let me get in ALL weekend. i was going through email withdrawals. and diaryland withdrawals. =(
so, after the whole episode on friday, heather was much better. her lips and nose aren't puffy anymore, her wrist is still hurt, and her teeth still hurt. she can't eat solid foods. she's going to see her normal doctor today, and if all is good, her and travers are leaving for their trip today.
saturday i had my housewarming party. basically, no one came. kinda sad. jenny was there a long time, she helped me set up. the lady i buy scrapbooking stuff from brought her family. sandi showed up. and justin. all at separate times. and heather's parents came also. when everyone was gone, i watched chocolot, which was great. then heather's parents took us out to dinner at cafe italia. very good. sunday i did *so* much laundry (i hogged all the washers in the laundry room) and scrapbooked. heather and travers were gone in the morning, then they got back and took naps. i thought that sounded good, so i took a nap too. from about 6:00 to 8:30! after i got up, jane called and came to meet me to go swing dancing. i haven't seen her in a long, long time -- she was in croatia for 2 months (she's croatian and was visiting her family). so we went dancing, which was sort of fun but we've been out of it for so long, plus "our" place shut down so this was a different crowd that we're used to. if i keep going every sunday night, it'll get better.
i went to bed at 12:30 last night. because of the nap, i'm not very tired right now, but i'm sure i will be later this afternoon. i think jenny and mike are coming over to watch dawson's reruns! yay, i love those nights.
i've also started letting jasmine (my cat) outside a little bit. she's been moved in for 3 weeks, and she used to be and indoor-outdoor cat, so i'm letting her get to know it outside. i let her out and watch her. i'm scared though; she's never lived in an apartment complex and i don't want her to get hit by a car. at least we're on the bottom level, it makes it easier for her to come home. i'm sure she'll be okay after a while though.
