christmas eve eve!
12/23/03 ~ 9:00 a.m.
the countdown to christmas is really small now! yay! tomorrow i work a half day. then i am heading to the YMCA before helping david's mom and grandma get ready for the family thing in the evening. as i, i have to bake cookies with them and try not to eat them. sigh.
i went home early from work yesterday cuz i felt sick. not dying per se, but just really tired and sort of nauseous. so i rented a movie (alex & emma, really cute) and rested. but david and i still had an appointment with the trainer at the YMCA, so i got up and went to that. of course, my boss decided to hit the Y after work too. so that was kinda embarrassing. but really, i needed that rest. sigh.
blockbuster gave each employee a christmas present - a bruce almighty DVD. that was pretty nice of them. :)
i work at blockbuster tonight. wah. i also work there on christmas day, but i planned it that way. cuz david works too. but then we will have a nice dinner at home and open presents.
speaking of which, i am practically incabable of not ruining surprises. youv'e read about the past times, so here's a new one. david and i split up in walmart to get one thing for each other. i head to the toys section and get what i need. i round the corner, and david is walking away from me, holding hand weights. oops. but i don't let him see me and i think it's successfully avoided. i even say i didn't see anything. but then last night, i pick up a receipt off the floor and read it. and it's got all the dumbells on it! so i give it to him and say "you should hide these better." it fell out of his coat. so i told him that i read it. (i didn't tell him i saw him in walmart though. hi honey! if you're reading this. i saw you then too but i played it off.) anyways.
so i get to open that present on christmas eve. woo.
my raise already went through! which is kinda funny because this boss is paying my paycheck for the next 2 weeks and he wasn't the one who gave me the raise. hahaha. oh well.
friday i have off. well, the daytime. i work at blockbuster at night. but then saturday sammi comes to visit!!! and then i work that night. and sunday my mom and brothers and grandparents are coming for christmas. and then i work that night too.
did i babble enough to make up for not posting yesterday? i think so.
so anyways, alex & emma is out on video today. you should go rent it if you're a sucker for romantic comedies, like i am. i loved it. i want to buy it. pre-viewed, of course, so it's cheaper. heh heh.
