my plan is in action

last night was fun. not super-duper-exciting fun, but enjoyable. it was really packed with people because all the teenage girls (and gay men) are in love with gavin degraw. i guess it's cuz he looks like ashton but can sing, too. he was a very good performer. sabrina*, myself, and her friend adam were in a decent location for his show, but when gavin went to do autograph signings, a whole table of teenage girls vacated (as did adam, so he could proclaim his love) and sabrina and i swooped in. we were basically front and center for fastball's show.
i did get to show fastball the old photo of me and the lead singer, which they all got a good laugh about. in fact, the lead singer not only remembers that concert, but he swears it was in 1998. and you know what, he may be right! looking at me in that picture, i think it was after i graduated. and he remembered talking about the grapes of wrath, which is what i think of everytime i hear "the way." so yeah, that was cool.
he allowed me to sneak back during the signing and take an updated photo, so i'll get to posting that soon. i have to scan the old pic, and my scanner is being retarded, so i'll work on that tonight. justin b.* is coming over tonight, maybe i'll have him help me fix it! woo.
tonight we are doing the swing thing. "we" being justin, sabrina, and i. justin's staying over, and tomorrow sabrina and cameron* will join us for another marathon day of sex and the city. we're on season 2 now. then at about 5, tim* will also come over, and the poker will begin. what a day.
so. the knee plan. it's been put into action. today i told my coworker and boss that "they think there's somehting going on" and that there "might be torn ligaments" and they "sent me for an MRI this morning". next week they will know the verdict: surgery on aug 5th.
i'm so conniving with this planning and careful timing. david says i should get into government! ha ha.
