heading up to sacramento today to visit my mom. we'll celebrate chad's graduation and david's birthday, which we missed last weekend cuz of that flu, plus now we're adding my grandpa's birthday and my mom's birthday into the mix. it won't be a totally exciting day, we'll eat dinner and maybe watch a video. woo.
what i'm not happy about is that first we have to take the gold saturn to a shop. we only bought goldie about a month ago! david and his dad think it's the alternator. i think it's shit. grrrrr.
last night, david and i went to mariah's* house to play poker with her parents and her parents friends. (it wasn't a game we could invite people to, we were just invited ourselves.) we expected texas hold'em, we got... dealer's choice. which meant 7 card stud, 5 card draw, etc... MIXED with texas hold'em. which did not work at all and made you either win or lose money fast. we all started with $10 and the bets were at $1. so basically, i lost down to about $2 on the first hand i lost. then i played tight for a while, won a big pot and got up to $15. then it slowly got hacked away and i finished up with $6. i didn't like this style of poker at all. wah.
we'll have a poker game at our house sometime in the next few weekends, and it will be cooler. and justin b., i promise we'll call ya to let you know.
