lights out?
07/31/01 ~ 11:38 p.m.
i got home tonight (to jenny's parents' house) and the power was out. in the whole community. and this is a fancy, expensive community. very odd. so i tried to go in the house and find candles. it was all dark, super scary, etc. so i went back down to the security guard and tried to get a flashlight. he didn't have one. i ended up talking to him for about an hour while we waited for pg&e to get here and fix things. he talked about nothing forever. at least i learned about some of the people who live here. juicy gossip: chris weber (from the sacramento kings) eats pizza with chicken and jalepenos, no cheese, very often. weird. so pg&e didn't show up. so i went back to the house, and now.. 11:40 pm, the power is back. so of course, i got online because that is the most productive way to spend my time. i could be doing dishes, doing laundry, or sleeping... but no. gotta tend to diaryland!
i also came hope to an email from the other lady at the mortgage company i sent my resume to. i have an interview there next tuesday. 2 interviews, one company (two seperate offices). so i sent back an email saying that i could be there, and also informing her that i am meeting the other lady thursday. wish me luck -- seems i'm almost guaranteed a job, huh?
i was out so late because i was getting the storage key from carly. hopefully i will be able to get my desk out on thursday. after dropping my car off at the shop. so i stayed and talked with her for awhile. i miss her, but it's not like it used to be. oh well. not my fault. *i* made an effort. and i still will, cuz that's how i am.
