happy may day!

last night, sabrina and i went swing dancing. we went for the lesson beforehand, but it turned out we didn't need to because it was really, really simple stuff. so we won't do that next time.
sabrina knew one guy there, beau, cuz he was her dance partner in college. turns out that he knows justin b.* small, small world.
anyways, once i got my groove back and some of the leads realized that i knew the lindy hop, they were all over that and i felt like a princess! i got asked to dance a lot and really had a great time.
there was this one guy there that dance by himself the whole time. literally arms flailing, weird looking, ballet leaping, possessed dancing in the middle of the floor. he was really amusing to watch, though i have to admit that it made me a little uncomfortable because i could never do that. sure, i'll make fun of myself, sing kareoke, and be silly in front of my friends, but i could never dance wildly for hours in a room full of people i don't know. but that's just me.
speaking of kareoke, supposedly there will be some of that mixed in the with alcohol, food, and games at mariah's* party tonight. should be good times!
now i have some saturday errands to do - grocery shopping, clothes shopping, cleaning, etc. catch ya later!
