i worked a lot this weekend. 8 1/2 hours on sat, 8 on sunday. all at the pool. i'm a little sunburned, but it'll fade into a tan. yesterday there was a full-out brawl with these little 11 year olds. the way they were talking, and only being 11, does not give me much hope for our future. it was completely sad. now, i know public pools don't exactly attract the richest or classiest people (you know... the ones that have their own pools), but many of the people that come are downright trashy. not just average people that don't have a pool (like me. i'm not trashy! i swear!)
this week and next week i work at the pool from 6-7 teaching lessons, and a lot of those days i am staying and lifeguarding until 9. plus weekends, of course! i better see a nice extra check for all this!
this upcoming weekend is so packed i have been feeling a little stressed about it all week. like, not stressed but... you know when you just feel like you have to do something? well i felt like that all week and it's for next weekend. ha ha. this is what's going on:
thursday night:
camping after work
friday:
rafting until about 3 or 4
drive home, teach lessons 6-7
go to softball game at 8:40
go to amy's "prom party" in davis
saturday:
work 9-12 pool party
work 12:30-5 public swim
go to jane's overnight camping 21st birthday
sunday:
drive home from jane's party
hopefully nap
go out to davis for JENNY'S big 21st birthday party!
it's all fun stuff, there's just a lot of it. plus i am missing my mom's birthday stuff, which is on the lake all weekend with a lot of my cousins and aunts and uncles. i want to go but... it's just too crazy.
plus add to it that the rafting might be cancelled due to power outages and technical stuff... then i may go to the lake on friday with my mom and brothers, skip the softball game, maybe make it to the prom party... but i still have to be back for work at 9 am. argh.
anyways, back to work. hopefully i'm going to lunch with brooke and she can tell me all about her weekend with justin. they went to s.f.- the city and the beach. a lot more fun than working at the pool, i'd say.
