valentine's recap

i haven't been on my computer for 2 FULL DAYS. it's been a relaxing time. and since i'm home today also, for presidents day, i thought i'd hop on for a few seconds to catch you all up, and then i'd be off again, in a blur of stickers, tape, and other scrapbook materials. because, oh yes, i am getting some scrapbook pages done.
i had a fantastically lovely valentine's day! in the morning, i gave david his gifts. he got some snazzy new chopsticks, some underwear, some shirts, and a cool little candy bowl with the 4 card suits on it. for those poker nights, you know. it was almost noon by then, but i cooked breakfast-for-lunch:
... with a cool heart shaped frying pan i bought for the occasion! i also cut up his toast in order for his whole plate to have a theme:
so that was fun. then we showered, got dressed, and he took over as the valentine "giver". first, he took me to see 50 first dates, a perfect movie for the occasion. it was a cute movie, and i really liked the heart of the story, but i don't like how adam sandler has to be SO crude. i mean, some goofy jokes are ok, but i think this movie went over the top a little.
we then stopped off at whole foods to buy dinner fixings. when we got home, we cuddled up together and took a lovely nap for about an hour. it was so restful, cozy, and peaceful. :) we were tired from the late night of poker on friday.
we got up and made dinner. (sadly, i didn't take any more pictures of the day). we had a shrimp salad with sparkling cider by candlelight. very romantic. then he told me to get dressed "a step up" for our surprise event. i put on a cute skirt and my boots and he got all slicked up, too. he took me to a theater! we got little valentine's gifts (mm, candy) and sat down to watch the show, which was really good. i loved it.
then we came home, cuddled up again, and enjoyed some good lovin', which was the perfect end to the perfect evening.
i love my david. he will always be my valentine.
