new job stuff

i started my new job. this means i won't be on the internet at work, since this job is important to me. only if i am in the office alone will i venture on to any of my favorite sites. and since there are 2 brokers and 2 other assistants, this will be rare.
so. new job. it's a 30 minute drive, but for the $3/hr raise i got, it's worth it. the two brokers are leanne and jim. jim's training this week so i haven't worked with him yet. he's new. leanne is about 50, but hip and cool with red hair and braces. she's very successful, which in turn, means good bonuses for me.
the assistants are jen and donna. jen is 30, married 4 years, and has a 10 month old baby. she's very organizzed and put together, and very very nice. her husband is a police officer that just got moved from patrol, which he did for 7 years, to detective work. donna is 43 but seems closer to 30. she's been married 19 years and has 3 kids: 18, 17, and 13. without that proof, i'd think she was lying about her age! she's outgoing and bubbly. i really like them both.
bummer thing is, i don't get home until about 5:45. the days i go to the gym, i'm there from 5:30-6:30ish and i get home at 7 and there's just not much evening left. like last night, i met sabrina for dinner but we didn't leave until 7. but we ate thai and hung out and chatted for a bit afterwards, so it was good. she's leaving in about 3 weeks -- to go live in mexico for 4 months! i'll miss her but at least i know she'll be back... at least for a little while. she could go off and be a teacher anywhere!
tonight mariah is coming over for dinner and to watch friends with us. and to girly chat, which is what mariah and i do.
but it is 7:45. i must leave for work now. hasta pasta, daddy-o's!
