happy rambles

methinks i am too good at my job. two reasons - 1) i am constantly finishing all my day's work at about 3:00. too bad i still have a few hours to go till i'm off. and 2) i realize as i am naming my entry that a 1049 is a tax form. sick, sick, sick. (i work for an investment broker).
today is my youngest brother joe's* birthday. he is 16. that is craziness.
today also marks one month till my birthday. my little counter over there probably says 30 days till my birthday or something. woo!
i bought some yoga pants at target today. they are mighty comfy. i can workout in them and also just lounge in them. i am happy about that.
oh! i also got good news from blockbuster. rather, i talked them into working the schedule out in my favor. see, before david got his new job, i put that i wanted xmas day off, but that i'd work xmas eve. but then i find out david works xmas eve and day, but not in the evenings of course... and the tentative schedule for that week had me working 3 - 10 on xmas eve. well, i had them on a technicality -- they assumed i'd be off from the office by 3 pm, which i might not be. so i let her know that, while metioning that i would rather work xmas day, if that was at all possible. and voila! all fixed.
so david and i both work office hours on xmas eve. then we can have our own little christmas and gift giving that night. then he works 9-3 and i work 11-5:30 on xmas day. we'll spend that evening with his parents/grandparents (he'll go over there before i get off and i'll join them).
as for my family, my mom says we can visit whenever... and besides, we *are* doing thanksgiving with them anyways. so it all works out, and it seems david and i will survive this holiday season without the wrath of family! halleluiah! (and i can't spell that.)
so yeah, i'm in a good mood. i can feel it in this entry too, cuz i'm all like "oh! i'm happy about this and that!" all the time. and one more thing i'm happy about - david is meeting me at the YMCA this evening and trying it out himself. he's going to play in the pool. i'm going to do a step aerobics class (did i mention that i did a calesthenics class AND ran a mile on the treadmill before work? i rule...) while he's swimming and then meet up with him in the pool. i hope he likes it too, so we can join. =) woo.
